CRPS or RSD Remedies

Also known as RSD, Reflex sympathetic dystrophy is a condition of burning pain, stiffness, swelling, and discoloration of the limbs or limb. When one’s nervous system becomes overactive, a type of burning pain occurs. Swelling, pain and warmth is felt in the affected limb.

Exercise: This is one of the most important elements and must be an ongoing program; this can greatly improve the disease. Exercise helps keep function, strength, muscle mass and flexibility. Exercise also builds stamina to fight the pain and function of the limb may be lost without it. Endorphins are released when you exercise, which kill pain in the body. Exercise also brings oxygen into the muscle alleviating some of the pain. Start with low impact and low weight; get yourself a specialist to monitor your progress and results to keep you on track.

Physiotherapy is also a key component in treating this disease; some say it is the “keystone” to sustained treatment. It is recommended to use a pool to perform the first exercises if possible; this eliminates any weight or major strain on the effected limbs.

Acupuncture: Some patients report great results with this method, there are very many centers or practitioners that perform acupuncture. It is worth a try.

Homeopathy: This is a natural and gentle treatment with specially trained practitioners, some of us have been very surprised at the results achieved through homeopathy.

Diet is as always important, we suggest visiting the PROGRAM IN GENERAL page and to follow steps 1 to 3…you will feel like a different person!

We highly suggest you look at the “Anti-Inflammatory food pyramid to plan your diet.

Recovazon:This product reduces joint pain and muscle soreness, aids in recovery from strenuous activities. It also contains several blood purifying herbs such as Sarsaparilla and Manaca. This is an amazing herb for inflammation pain. I never go to bed without taking 3 to 6 of these; this Amazon Forest herb mix is truly amazing.  Order by clicking here.

Body PH balance: In other words “acid in the body” not allowing the blood is to transport oxygen throughout your system. There are many products, here is just one of many sites, click here.

Willow Bark: The bark of the white willow tree has pain-relieving properties similar to aspirin. An ingredient in white willow bark, called salicin, is converted in the body to salicylic acid (aspirin is also converted to salicylic acid once in the body). Salicylic acid is believed to be the active compound that relieves pain and inflammation. Order here.

Magnesium: After oxygen, water, and basic food, magnesium may be the most important element needed by our bodies, activating over 300 different biochemical reactions necessary for your body to function properly. Magnesium protects against heart disease and heart attacks, high blood pressure and stroke and type II diabetes. Order by clicking here.
